Five Mexican startups will meet this April 29 and 30 in Miami, Florida, to present their technology-based ventures in front of some 15,000 people, including investors, venture capitalists and companies around the world, during the eMerge Startup Showcase Americas.
This is a technological advancement platform, a forum for the exchange of ideas and an innovation accelerator that connects Latin America, North America and Europe.
In its sixth edition, and following a selection process carried out in different parts of the republic with the support of universities such as the Tecnológico de Monterrey and the University of the Americas Puebla (UDLAP), the digital publishing house Wow Books will participate on behalf of Mexico. the health care system blanket, the platform that connects doctors with clinics and hospitals Nubix, the solution to find services of Karbook mechanics, and the website for the sale of Haumi properties.
The idea is that in eMerge Americas, these national startups can make their ideas known, connect with relevant personalities from the world of technological entrepreneurship, make alliances and, thus, boost their business.
“Our Startup Showcase is the heart and soul of the event because these startups are representing the communities they come from with incredible ideas and, in addition, they are attracting investors, venture capitalists, and companies,” said Melissa Medina, president of eMerge Americas, to Tec Review.
In Mexico, “we focused on finding young entrepreneurs and innovative startups to take them to our global technology event, and it was very exciting to see that there are a lot of new companies using some technological angle,” he added.
Now, in this forum, these startups will be able to create bridges “with Latin America and the rest of the world”, something that Medina considered will be of great help to them by allowing them to get closer to this whole ecosystem. “Access is the key word,” he concluded.
The projects that will be part of the Startup Showcase will also have the opportunity to attend conferences, workshops, and meetings.
In 2019, eMerge Americas will feature the participation of important speakers, among which Mariano Amartino, CEO of Startups Microsoft; Scott Kelly, operations director of Hitachi Vantara, and Will Mclean, vice president of Frequency Therapeutics, among many others.
